Fröhlichen Raketentag 

Meine Kleine hat es letztes Jahr geschafft (mit 5 Jahren) bis Mitternacht wach zu bleiben und sich das Feuerwerk anzuschauen. Seitdem ist Silvester der Raketentag!

Ich danke euch für eure lieben Zusprüche und Kommentare, Ratschläge und soviel Inspiration auf euren Blogs. Nie hätte ich gedacht, dass bloggen so erfüllend und spannend für mich ist und ich es so lieben würde.

Und weil ich mich so freue, dass ich schon über 500 Leser habe, kündige ich auch heute schon eine Blogverlosung im neuen Jahr an.

Happy Rocket Day 

My little one has made it last year with 5 yrs to stay awake until midnight and watch the fireworks in our village to welcome the new year. Ever since New Year's Eve is the Rocket Day!
I thank you so much for your love, support and comments, for advice and inspiration on your blogs. I never would have thought that blogging is so fulfilling and exciting for me and I would love it so much.

Playing Flute - Flötentöne

Das Christkind hat mir eine Flöte geschenkt :) Meine Kleine lernt in der Musikschule seit einigen Wochen Blockflöte. Und ich habe immer fleißig mit ihrer Flöte mitgeübt. Ab jetzt spielen wir im Duett.

I got a flute for Christmas :) My little one learns recorder in the music school for a few weeks. And I've always practiced diligently with her flute. From now on we play a duet.

Black Gloves - Schwarze Handschuhe

Ich habe ja doch etwas gewerkelt über die Feiertage. Eine Freundin wollte schwarze fingerlose Handschuhe haben, gab aber keine Vorgaben zum Aussehen. Na, ich hoffe es passt. Im übrigen ist es total schwer schwarze Sachen zu fotografieren, wenn man will, dass das Muster noch zu erkennen sein soll. Also die Wolle ist rabenschwarz und nicht grau.

I have something knitted over the holidays. A friend wanted to have black fingerless gloves but gave no specifications for the look. Well, I hope it fits. Moreover, it is really difficult to photograph black stuff, if you want the pattern still to be visible. So the wool is jet-black and not gray.

Shawl - Schultertuch

Ich hab's geschafft! Endlich! Gestrickt habe ich das Schultertuch ja schnell, aber bis ich das Tuch endlich gespannt habe, hat ewig gedauert. 

I've done it! At last! I have knitted the shawl very quickly, but until I've finally blocked the shawl took forever.

Christmas Window - Adventfenster

In meiner Gemeinde gibt es seit Jahren die Aktion 'Adventfenster'. 24 mal wird ein Fenster passend zur Adventszeit geschmückt, Punsch und Glühwein ausgeschenkt, Brote und Kekse angeboten und die Nachbarn und Gemeindemitglieder eingeladen, kurz zu verweilen, besinnlichen Texten zuzuhören (vom Pfarrer selbst oder von Pfarrhelfern vorgetragen) und etwas Spaß haben. Jede freiwillige Spende wird in einem Fond gesammelt und bei Bedarf wird bedürftigen Gemeindemitgliedern daraus geholfen. Das 24. Fenster wird immer von unserer Pfarre ausgerichtet und auch Schule und Rathaus haben traditionell ein Fenster. Aber für alle anderen kann man sich melden. Dieses Jahr hatten wir Nummer 14. Ich habe es sehr schlicht mit Christbaumkugeln gestaltet, die ich von meiner Freundin geschenkt bekam, aber für den Weihnachtsbaum viel zu groß waren.

In my community there is for many years the compaign 'Christmas window’. 24 times, a window will be suitable decorated for the Christmas season. Punch and mulled wine are served, sandwiches and biscuits are offered and the neighbors and community members are invited to stay, listen to contemplative texts (presented by the pastor himself or by parish volunteers) and have some fun. Any voluntary donation is collected in a fund and if necessary will be given to community members in need. The 24th window is always hosted by our church and school and city hall have a window too. But for all other december days you can register. This year we were number 14. I made my window very simple, decorated with Christmas tree balls, which I got as gift from my girlfriend, but they were too big for the Christmas tree.

In unserer Hauseinfahrt haben wir dann heiße Getränke und Snacks angeboten. Schön war's!

In our hallway/driveway, we offered hot drinks and snacks. It was great!

Heute mache ich zum ersten Mal bei 12 von 12 mit. Den 12. Tag des Monats dokumentiert man mit 12 Fotos. Mehr zu diesem Thema findet man bei "Draußen nur Kännchen".

Nachdem ich meine Kleine in den Kindergarten brachte, musste ich mal Erste Hilfe leisten. Einige Steckperlenbildchen und andere Plastikteile mussten geklebt werden.

After I took my little girl to kindergarten, I had time to render first aid. Some iron-on-beads and other plastic parts had to be glued.

Eine Kundin wünschte sich Handschuhe in schwarz mit Zopf. Muss mich sputen, damit die noch vor Weihnachten fertig werden.

A customer wanted gloves with cables in black. I must hurry, so the are done before Christmas.

Computer einschalten. Juhu, was verkauft. Aha, da muss ich auch noch ein bißchen nacharbeiten.

Turn on computer. Hooray, I had a sale. Well, there are also some preparations to do.

Ich habe auch Hunger. Meine Kleine isst heute im KIGA. Ich mache mir Nudeln mit Pesto Genovese, das ich mir auf dem Adventmarkt kaufte. Lecker!

I'm hungry too. My little one has lunch in kindergarten. I make pasta with pesto Genovese, which I bought at the Christmas market. Yummy!

Wenn ich alleine bin beim Essen, dann schalte ich den TV ein. Ich gestehe ich liebe Nerds.

When I'm alone when eating, then I turn on the TV. I confess I love nerds.

Ich schiele kurz auf unseren Familienadventskalender, um zu sehen, was es heute Gutes gibt. Aber nein, das gibt es erst am Abend.

I glance briefly at our family Advent calendar to see what goodies are on it. But no, not now, not before the evening.

Unsere Katze schaut auch kurz zu einem Snack und ein paar Streicheleinheiten vorbei.

Our cat also stops by briefly for a snack and some TLC (tender loving care).

Zeit meine Kleine aus dem Kindergarten abzuholen.

Time to get my little one from kindergarten.

So, aber jetzt mal eine Tasse Kaffee.

Flöte üben, Freitag ist Aufführung in der Musikschule. Seid froh, dass ich kein Video mit Ton eingestellt habe ;)

Und Ausklang war jetzt noch ein Punsch mit der Freundin am örtlichen Punschstand.

To close the day I met my girlfriend at the local punch stall and enjoyed a hot punch or two.

Wallet - Zwickl Geldbörse

Schon laaaange habe ich das Zwickl ebook von mondbresal zu Hause liegen und nun endlich in Angriff genommen. Zuerst habe ich ein Probeteil genäht, das hat sich sofort meine Kleine geschnappt. Allerdings habe ich danach den Schnitt etwas abgeändert, damit der Rand nicht so dick ist und ich das ganze Teil außen herum abnähen kann.

Since a loooong time I have a money purse ebook of mondbresal at home and now at last I begun. First I sewed a sample part that was immediately caught my little one. However, I then changed the pattern a bit and now I love it.

Die Geldbörse ist echt leicht zu nähen und mit den Stoffen kann man sich austoben. Auch Stoffreste kann man gut verarbeiten. 

The wallet is really easy to sew and you can use your fabric scraps.

Advent im Schloss

Mein letzter Markt für dieses Jahr und wahrscheinlich der schönste und bequemste. Die Räume im Schloss sind wunderschön. Die Ausstellung geht über zwei Etagen. Draußen am Vorplatz wird für das leibliche Wohl gesorgt. Gumpoldskirchen liegt etwa 20 km südlich von Wien und 3 km nördlich von Baden.

My last market for this year and probably the nicest and most comfortable. The rooms in the castle are beautiful. The exhibition is located on two floors. Outside on the plaza you will find the food corner. Gumpoldskirchen is located about 20 km south of Vienna and 3 km north of Baden.

St. Nikolaus

Das hör ich seit einer Woche von meiner Kleinen und auch wenn sie nicht da ist, hör ich das Lied in meinem Kopf und es will da einfach nicht raus ;)

I hear that Nikolaus song from my kid for a week and even though she's not there, I hear the song in my head and it will not get out there ;)

Letztens stand mir der Mund offen vor Staunen und Freude. Ich habe wieder ein Paket von NIVEA bekommen und drinnen war dieser süße Adventskalender. Zum Fotografieren habe ich ihn vor unser Holzlager gehängt, jetzt hängt er im Hauseingang.

Recently I stood gaping in amazement and joy. I have again received a parcel from NIVEA and inside was this sweet advent calendar. To take pictures I hung it in front of our wood stock, it now hangs in the entryway.

Und natürlich war er auch gefüllt mit allerlei netten Kleinigkeiten von Beiersdorf. Bis jetzt waren diese Sachen drinnen.

And of course it was filled with all sorts of nice little gifts of Beiersdorf. Until now these things were inside.

Colorful Crochet Stars - Bunte Häkelsterne

Habe ich schon mal erwähnt, dass ich Pinterest liebe? Die Vielfalt an Tipps und Inspiration an einem Ort ist unübertrefflich. Gebt in die Suche (am besten auf englisch) ein, was ihr sucht und seid überrascht.
Ich habe diese tollen bunten Häkelsterne gefunden und anhand der Bilder versucht, sie nachzuarbeiten. Wie immer bei so bunten Sachen, gibt es eine Menge Fäden zu vernähen. Die anderen habe ich schon gespannt und mit Sprühstärke eingesprüht, daher sehen die Farben etwas gedämpft aus, weil die Sterne tropfnass sind.

I found this great colorful crochet stars and I tried to rework it. As always with such colorful things, there are a lot of threads to sew. The others I've already blocked and treated with spray starch, so the colors look a bit muted because the stars are dripping wet.

... heißt Blog Award auf Kroatisch und ich habe diesen süßen Award von der lieben Dragica bekommen.
